Project: Australian War Memorial, Canberra, Australia. KingDeco scope: major custom brass architectural fabrication, approximately 3,000 square metres of brass facade and architectural metalwork. The package required translating complex architectural geometry into individually coordinated fabricated components with strict geometric control across a long production programme.

Shipping Complex Components Internationally

The fabrication team needs to think backwards from installation.

Questions include: what can fit in a container; where a joint can be located; which surface must be protected; which component installs first; how components will be identified; and whether temporary transport reinforcement is required. Shipping is considered during engineering rather than only after manufacturing has finished.
